The GQA Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Formwork (Construction) is designed for experienced formwork operatives who want to advance their skills, gain recognition for their occupational competence and progress within the construction and civil engineering industries. It provides a progression route from a relevant Level 2 qualification, or from equivalent workplace experience, and enables learners to demonstrate competence in constructing, erecting, striking, maintaining and repairing complex timber and proprietary formwork systems. Achievement can support progression into advanced, supervisory or technical roles, including formwork supervisor, foreperson or chargehand, temporary works operative, site supervisor and assistant site manager.
