Exciting changes are here! Today, GQA will formally launches a refreshed brand identity – marking a key milestone as we approach our 25th Anniversary.
From our origins as the ‘Glass Qualifications Authority’, focused on a single sector, GQA has grown into a high-performing Awarding Organisation with national coverage and a growing international presence. Our new brand reflects this evolution – not a departure from our past, but a confident step forward.
Built on what matters
At the heart of the refreshed brand is a simple truth – everything we do is all about the learner. Learners thrive when centres are supported, employers are engaged, and Awarding Organisations act with consistency, transparency, and care. This people-centred focus drives how we design qualifications, deliver services, and support learners, centres and employers across the sector.
Our legal name, contractual agreements, and operational relationships remain unchanged. There will be no disruption to services, contacts, processes, or approvals.
What’s changing
• A refreshed visual identity: Moving from our long-standing green to a blue-led palette, reflecting trust, reliability, and technical expertise. The new logo nods to our heritage while symbolising learners striving for growth and progression, accompanied by the strapline ‘All About the Learner.’
• A simpler name: We will increasingly refer to ourselves simply as GQA.
Looking Ahead
Over the coming weeks, the updated branding will appear across communications, documentation, and digital platforms, including a new website.
This refresh is more than a new look — it is a statement of who we are today: learner-focused, professional and ambitious for the future.
