This qualification contains the underpinning knowledge unit which is in all assessor regulated qualifications. When offered alongside regulated qualifications in internal quality assurance, this qualification provides comprehensive coverage of regulated qualifications in assessment and internal quality assurance. This qualification covers the principles and practices of assessment including the assessment of occupational competence in the work environment. Entry to the qualification is at the discretion of the centre. Whilst there are no specific skills, knowledge, understanding or any other qualifications that must be achieved in order to start this qualification, assessor-candidates must have the potential and opportunity to gain this qualification successfully.
