Laura’s role at GQA

Working in a busy office no two days are the same. My role includes answering the telephone, approving registrations, printing certificates and Q Cards. I also process CSCS cards for which GQA is the sole supplier for the Fenestration Industry. I also have responsibility for ordering office supplies and stationery which can be quite demanding when you think about the amount of certificates and cards we issue!

What is the biggest challenge/most important thing you do in your job

I think all aspects of my job are important. Becoming the issuer of CSCS Cards has brought great demand and given us a new, but exciting challenge.

Tell us something you enjoy about your job

I enjoy all aspects of my job and the people I work with. It’s like being a part of a family.

Tell us about someone or something which has inspired you in your life

My mum is my biggest inspiration she is the most selfless person I have ever known, she not only looks after my little girl while I work full time but also helps run my house while looking after her own too, I would be lost without her. If I turn out to be half the parent she is then I will be happy with my life, she is truly amazing and is my rock.
