The suite of Automotive Glazing qualifications developed by GQA have been used across the industry for many years with some of the best known names in the business and a large number of the smaller, independent Companies using them to benchmark the competence and knowledge of their Technicians, help show customers and potential customers how they upskill their Technicians and also satisfy the requirements of legislation such as BS10125.

The importance of proof of current competency has never been more in demand, aside from BS10125 requirements, many large Fleet Operators, Insurance Companies and other Organisations now require proof of this as part of the tendering process. GQA has qualifications for Automotive Glazing Technicians at Level 2 and Level 3, Windscreen repair specialist at Level 2 and a few years ago introduced a Level 3 Competency update qualification for those who need, or wish to, prove their skills and knowledge are current and up to date.

GQA qualifications have been used in Automotive Glazing Apprenticeships for many years, GQA has not stood still, the Government moves to Reformed Apprenticeships has seen a change in how Apprentices prove their competence, following a robust and challenging application process to the Institute for Apprenticeships (IFA), GQA Qualifications has been approved as an End Point Assessment Organisation (EPAO) for the newly approved Level 3 Standard in Automotive Glazing.

GQA’s qualifications continue to be enhanced with the addition of units on ADAS (Advanced Driver Awareness Systems) and most recently units on awareness of how to carry out Automotive Glazing work safely on EHV (Electric/hybrid vehicles).

GQA also has qualifications for other roles in Automotive Glazing including Managers, Supervisors, Call Centre staff, Branch Administration and Customer Service staff.
