Construction Leadership Council provides green light for construction and related trades to continue during lockdown

The Construction Leadership Council has engaged quickly with government following the announcement of a second lockdown to clarify the position in terms of construction and other related trades.

As the Fenestration Industry’s leading awarding body and being prominently involved in the construction sector, we are pleased to be able to report from these discussions that working in people’s homes, on major construction sites and in the manufacturing supply chains can continue.

This should give the industries we are involved with the opportunity to continue to recover from the effects of the first lockdown and provide important services to key clients and stakeholders, whilst working to Covid compliant processes and procedures.

We fully understand and appreciate the part we can play in keeping thing moving and assure you that despite GQA’s office being closed we are all working hard remotely to ensure there is no  impact on the issuing of qualification certificates and CSCS cards.

If you need any help with the services provided by GQA, please do not hesitate to get in touch with myself or any other of our team members.

If you need further clarification of what work can be undertaken during the second lockdown, or support, documentation, help with processes and procedures to be Covid compliant please visit
