Read moreMy day to day role includes dealing with system development to ensure that the GQA administrative processes function efficiently and are easy to use for our network. I action day to day requests from our approved centres to provide registrations, certificates, and cards. I make weekly and quarterly submissions of relevant information to the regulatory bodies we work with and I am responsible for running monthly invoice reports, checking them for accuracy before they are sent out to our customers.
My biggest challenge currently is getting to understand all aspects of the new awarding body we recently acquired. Their ways of working differ from our own in many ways and getting to understand both will enable me to have the best of all options to support and service centres old and new.
I am lucky that in my role I regularly get to take on new challenges, and this excites me. It gives me a chance to develop and use my skills alongside the rest of the team and means I am constantly learning new things.
My 3-year-old daughter Willow has inspired me the most, she makes me want to strive to be the best at what I do. I want to be the best role model and show her that anything is possible if she works hard enough and believes in herself.
