Day 2 Of GQA And The Autoraise Real Rally 2019 – The Race Has Begun
Day 2 – Wednesday 26th June
GQA and The Autoraise Real RallyThe Race has begun it’s official! The first official day of racing will see us start at Ramside Hall in Durham and travel – as the crow flies – 140 miles to Edinburgh. With over 70 cars lined up to start the race our route is likely to be longer in reality; the organisers have understandably created a number of different routes so that not all the cars are on the same road, and we have a staging post early this afternoon at Blaydon. Needless to say, it is raining!
The fancy dress option has been taken up enthusiastically with Penguins from Antarctica, Crabs from the Christmas Islands, and King Julien from the film Madagascar – suddenly being dressed as a Bhuddist Monk doesn’t seem to bad!
Good luck to all the teams and once again congratulations to them all for the fantastic amount of money they have raised for charity.
Here we go…destination Edinburgh
