GQA Job Opportunity – Marketing Executive

As a part of our ongoing growth we are looking to recruit a marketing professional to join our team.

The exciting role is with GQA Qualifications, a leading qualifications writing organisation currently working in 17 industrial sectors including Nuclear and Petro-Chemicals, Construction and Glazing, Meteorology, Automotive, Print and many more.

JOB TITLE:                            Marketing Executive

JOB LOCATION:                 Sheffield office based with occasional travel within the UK as required

JOB PURPOSE:                   To promote and positively build the presence of GQA using social media and digital marketing, driving engagement across relevant platforms to elevate brand awareness and achieve company objectives

JOB DETAILS:                      This role requires office attendance 5 days a week, covering 25 hours.

Salary £25k pro rata

REPORTING TO:                The Marketing Team

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and execute an innovative social media strategy, leveraging collaborative initiatives and paid campaigns
  2. Generate captivating content that resonates with GQA’s brand identity, including videos, podcasts, and compelling imagery.
  3. Curate and maintain a dynamic social media calendar, focusing on platforms like LinkedIn, Instagram and YouTube with potential expansion to other emerging platforms.
  4. Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to align social media efforts with broader marketing objectives and deliver content scheduling across all channels working with the Marketing team.
  5. Collaborate closely with the Marketing team to ensure all efforts are aligned with the overall marketing strategy and plan
  6. Identify and recommend proactive and reactive opportunities for GQA to be part of trending topics and conversation.
  7. Updating company website with new content in line with business requirements
  8. Provide detailed social reporting and campaign insights that demonstrate to the business social media’s effectiveness.
  9. Analyse the success of campaigns, translating data into recommendations and plans for revising the social media campaign activities
  10. Stay informed about industry trends and competitor activity, adjusting strategies accordingly to maintain a competitive edge.

GQA Qualifications Ltd Person Specification

  • Previous experience managing social media is essential with demonstrable experience in a B2B environment.
  • Strong knowledge and confident use of social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram).
  • An excellent understanding of social media and the specific marketing tactics required to optimise each platform.
  • Strong collaborator – able to work with the wider marketing team, internal stakeholders, external partners to create and manage content that is on message.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrates high personal credibility – acts with integrity, delivers commitments consistently to a high standard, confident and positive.
  • Highly proficient in spoken and written English, especially business and content writing.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Creative flair and proficiency in content creation.
  • Proven ability to communicate at all levels and an ability to foster and maintain successful working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Pro-active delivery focus with an ability to get things done.
  • Ability to present information effectively and contribute positively at both internal and external meetings.
