Total Support Training provide Master Fitter Challenge finals 2019

Staff at Total Support Training of Milton Keynes were delighted to host the Master Fitter Challenge finals 2019 alongside competition managers GQA Qualifications.

Managing Director Sharon Alderton commented, ‘we were delighted when GQA asked us if we would host the final at our practical training centre for installers. The challenge they created was a real good one, a flat to bay conversion including making the brackets and the roof’.

‘It was a really intense challenge with lots of detail and lots of opportunity for the finalists to show their skills; the standard of fitting was outstanding and each of the finalists should be very proud of what they achieved’.

‘From Total Support Training’s point of view, it was great to see the practical training facilities being used and both myself and the team here were delighted to have played a role in the FIT Show’s flagship competition for installers’.

‘The facilities are here to use for anybody who wants to train their installers in a practical environment, there are opportunities to install a range of windows and doors, and of course create a bay window!’

‘We are committed to seeing standards rise across the industry and will always do our bit to support those who want to learn and improve’.

Speaking for GQA Qualifications CEO Mick Clayton said ‘I was delighted that Sharon accepted the request for Total Support Training to host the finals. They had committed to providing practical training facilities for installers after the previous FIT Show and it is great to see what they have developed for the industry to use’.

‘Practical training is such an important aspect of the Fenestration Industry for those coming into it for the first time, as well as for those who have been in and around it for many years, especially in the hands-on disciplines such as installation and surveying.
